Basic features

The POS-4000 represents a new generation of Epos; it is light, compact, function rich and
designed for all types of retail outlet. Despite its smaller dimensions, the technical features of
POS-4000 are quite formidable. It has the capability to connect to a PC, barcode reader, and
scales. The POS 4000 is capable of communicating with a PC using the serial port, modem,
or it can use a LAN (Local Area Network). It is possible to connect cash drawers, cashier mo-
nitor, external customer display, PC keyboard, and several types of POS keyboard. The prin-
ter housing is large enough to fit a paper tape reel of up to 2.4" (60 mm) diameter.
The POS-4000 is powered from the mains
using a state-of-the-art power adapter.
Accessories include external customer dis-
play, cash drawer, memory expansion,
Ethernet communication adapter, auto
paper cutter and a range of programmable
keyboards.
The POS-4000 offers several managerial
functions and reports. One of the most
attractive features of the unit is the touch sensitive display that allows ease of cashier use.

Cash drawer

The POS-4000 allows you to connect most cash drawers that are equ-
ipped with a solenoid opening mechanism. The unit is fitted with a
modular jack connector for automatic opening of two cash drawers.
