3.4 Cam Chain Ten1ioner
A constant forot is applied 10 the cam chain
automatically by the hydraulic and spring-
operated cam chain tensioner.
(Fig. JI).
Check valve inspection
Push the pushrod and check to sec
if
oil is
leaking from the check valve II the oil

lcakina, it is probably due to dirt in the valve.
Clean the valve by blowing out with com pressed
air.
If
the oil is dirty,
it
should
be
changed.
Check the guide rollers for wear.
The manual cam chain tensioner is equi pped
on the
cn0- 70H K
l. K2 and Kl models.

To adjust, loosen the lock nut a nd back off

loosen the 14 mm sealing bolt located at the

tmcnt, tighten the tensioner adjustment,

ten the tensioner adjusting bolt, lock nut

and 14mm scaling bolt securely.

3.5 Piaton and P iaton Rings
Desc:ription
The piston is made of special SAE 332 alminum
alloy to minimize material deforma tion caused
by high tempcriture and also because of its good
wear resistant qualities. The piuon rings specially
should be high ly resistant and therefore. they
arc hard chrome plated or wet honed to give it
thedcsircdcharacte ristics.
