c. Inspection
(11 Inspect the throttle and front brake cables
for damage and breakage on both the inner
cable and outer casmg. Check for proper
operation.

d. Reassembl y
(1) Reinstall all the wires. speedometer and
leads on the specified local ons and fix in
place with handle !hmg bolts and nuts.
(2) Reinstall the front brake cable. speedometer
cable and throu!c cable.
(3) Reconnect all connec10r~ from the electrical
leadsandreins1alt1hcheadtigh1
Note:
Wheni nstalli ng thes teering ha ndlc, do 1101
pi nch theca blesandleads.
The stcermg stem of 1hesc models incorporates a ball bearing at the top and bottom.
It
excels in stccrability
and stability for both high and low speeds. The steering stem is unitized with the frame and incroporatcs
ball bearings which ore installed on the frame head pipe. They serve a vital function since it is the rotating
shaft of which the head pipe is the axi~.
a. Disassembl y
(I)
Remove the s1ccring handle (See page
34).
(2)
Remove the front wheel (Sec page 40).
(JJ
Remove the fork top bridge by unscrewing
the scccring head stem nut and two 8 mm
bolts.
(4)
Unscrew the steering head top nut with the
1he hook spanner (special spanner) (Tool
No. 07902--0010000) and slillc the front fork
out the bottom wnh the front fender, head-
light casing and horn.
Caution:
When remo,ingt ht frontfork,donol
dropthe:6 sleel balls(Fig.6 I).
b. Inspection
(I)
Inspect the :6 steel balls for crnncks and
wcar.{Fig.62).
(2) 1 nspect the steering stem for bending and
twis1ing.
()) Inspect the scccnng t-ottom and top cone
