B.7 Troubleshooting
WARNING:
Before
removing
transmitter, verify that line pressure has
been valved off or reduced to atmospheric
pressure.
Problem
Slow system response
No power
Erratic display
High dew point

Possible Cause
Insuffi cient fl ow through dew
point sensor
No incoming power
Unit defect
Air is not being dried
Faulty sensor
Before servicing the dew point transmitter, do the
following:
1. Close dew point transmitter isolation valve
2. Allow transmitter piping to depressurize
through the fl owmeter until it reduces to
atmospheric pressure.
3. Disconnect
sensor
transmitter from piping.
NOTE: Remote alarms will be activated
Solution
Check fl ow
Verify line power is being supplied
Contact BeaconMedæs
Verify that the online dryer (valve
open) is in the "Automatic" position
on the control panel and that the
off -line dryer (valve closed) is in the
"Off " position on the control panel.
Check fl ow
Replace sensor
