Mixer
The Mixer is the heart of the OASYS PCI. It's made up of 12 channels, each of
which can process a Program, an Audio Input, or a Stream (from a digital audio
program).
Each channel includes volume, pan/balance, MIDI channel assignment, output
bus assignment, four insert effects, and access to any two of the four effects sends.
For a diagram of the overall signal flow, see "Overall audio block diagram" on
page 73.
For step-by-step instructions on accomplishing common Mixer-related tasks,
please see "Using Multis," beginning on page 13.
Input Slot
Program: Any Program File.
Audio Input: Analog L, R (mono) and L-R; ADAT 1-8 (mono) and 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-
8 (stereo); S/PDIF L, R (mono) and L-R (stereo).
Stream: 1-8 (mono) and 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 (stereo).
At the bottom of each channel is the Input Slot, which may contain either a
Program, an Audio Input, or a Stream, as selected by the Input Type parameter
(described on page 68).
To select an Audio Input or Stream:

There is a small menu button to the right of the Input Slot. When the Input Type is
set to Audio Input or Stream, the button becomes active.

The menu contains a list of either Audio Inputs or Streams, depending on the
selected Input Type. Each are shown as both individual mono channels and stereo
pairs.

Set the Input Type parameter as desired (Audio Input or Stream).
Click on the menu button.
Select the desired Audio Input or Stream from the menu.
Drag a Program from the Catalog onto the Input slot.
or
Select the Input slot and then double-click the name of the Program in the
Catalog.
