Using the OASYS PCI
Creating splits and layers of Patches within a Program
The two Patches in a Program can be layered together, or split by key and/or
velocity ranges. Note that Programs can also be split and layered within a Multi,
which interacts with the Patch key and velocity ranges as shown below.

Layers
To layer Patches in a Program:

Keyboard splits
To create a keyboard split between two Patches:

This will make sure that the Patches both respond to the full velocity range.
2.
For instance, setting the Low Key to C4 and the High Key to C8 will make the Patch
play only in the upper part of the keyboard.
When the High/Low Key and Velocity parameters are selected, you can press and
hold the Shift key to edit the values by playing notes on your MIDI controller.
Velocity splits
To create a velocity split between two Patches:
OASYS PCI
Program key window:
C-1 to A6
Resulting key window: C4 to A6
In the Program Edit window, set the High/Low Key and Velocity parameters
so that each Patch is active over the entire keyboard and velocity range.
In the Program Edit window, set the Low Velocity for each Patch to the
minimum (1), and the High Velocity to the maximum (127).
Set the High/Low Key parameters for each Patch so that each is active for
only a specific keyboard range.
