3.3.3.2 Chroma Suppress Control ( Example coming soon)
The Chroma Suppress Control determines
what happens to the Chroma Values that
are 'captured' within the Chroma
Acceptance Angle.
The Chroma Suppress Control value ranges
from 0% to 100%.
When set to 0%, and then only the
suppression only removes hues that lay only
the same axis as the Chroma Hue angle.
This has the effect of removing the
Background spill hue, whilst keeping the
underlying hue.
When set to 100% then all the Chroma
Values that are 'captured' within the
Chroma Acceptance Angle are suppressed
to mono – i.e. they have their Chroma
removed.
This is quite an aggressive strategy as it
may remove wanted Chroma as well as
unwanted background Chroma. For this
reason, it is usually best to use a fairly low
level of Chroma Suppress, just a few %.
