When RPNs are adjacent in the vertical direction, record data at a position where one RPN can be
compensated.
Then shift the RPN by 1 vertically with the same horizontal address and check whether the other RPN
can be compensated. When the other RPN has been successfully compensated, record the data of the
other RPN.
When RPNs are adjacent in the horizontal direction, move the cursor to the position where the left
RPN can be compensated. Then set RPN WIDTH to [2], record the data, and check whether these
RPNs can be successfully compensated. If they were not successfully compensated, delete the data.
After that, increase RPN WIDTH to [3] to [4] and choose a value that allows the best compensation.
For RPNs that extend in the horizontal direction, increase RPN WIDTH from [1] to [4] and choose a
value that allows the best compensation.
3-6-4. Performing Effi cient Auto-Detection of RPNs
1. Open the RPN MANAGE[S05] page of the SERVICE menu.
2. Perform only RPN auto-compensation.
Auto-detection for all three channels is made at the same time.

. Be sure to set the BARS switch to OFF.
. Be sure to set the SHUTTER switch to OFF.
. If AUTO CONCEAL is executed with incorrect switch setting, delete all recorded data. Be careful
because the RPN compensation data is completely deleted by this operation.
