8-2. CAMERA SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS
*
Set the address 00 data (on page 00) to Ol and perform the
adjustment.
(WINDOW OFF mode is set. This mode is automatically
released by tuming the power off.)

In principle, all adjustments must be made in accordance
with Adjustment procedure.

When replacing lens, do not forget to make the following
adjustment.

When replacing CCD imager, do not forget to adjust the
camera system property.
8-2-1. Flange Back Adjustment

Adjusting method:
1) Press the FOCUS button to set to the MANUAL mode.
2) Position a Siemens star 2 m directly in front of the lens (See
Fig. 8-2.).
3) Orient the camera block to have the center of the Siemens
star imaged on the monitor TV screen coincide with the
monitor screen center.
4) Check to assure the smooth motion of the lens zoom lever to
both its extreme WIDE position (8.5 mm) and TELE
position (85 mm), and then set it at the extreme WIDE
position. (In this process, also check the monitor image to
assure proper zooming operation.)
5) Select the page F and the address 19 with the adjustment
remote controller, and make note of the adjustment data for
this address,
Set the adjustment data to FF with the adjustment remote
controller. (Iris open mode)
At this time, adjust the illumination on the Siemens star or
place an ND filter over the lens, and confirm that the proper
image is displayed on the monitor TV screen.
7) Loosen flange back setscrew @ with a Phillips screwdriver.
(See Fig. 8-9.)
8) Overlap the stopper bottom end @ and focus mark line @.
(See Fig. 8-9.)
9) By tuming the flange back adjusting Pin
while watching
the monitor screen, attain the optimum definition of a wedge
at the Siemens star center on the screen. (Tum it a few tums
to the left and right to ensure optimum definition.)
Note: Do not tum the adjusting pin excessively in either
direction.
10) While holding the flange back adjusting Pin @ to prevent
further rotation, retighten the flange back setscrew @).
11) Check to see that the stopper bottom end is set within the
range shown in Fig. 8-10 when the focus is matched by
turning the focus ring.
If not, repeat steps 8) through 10).
12) After setting the zoom lever to TELE end, set it to WIDE
end again.
13) With the zoom lever fixed at its WIDE end, tum the
focusing ring and set it to the position that provides the
optimum definition image of the wedge. Check to assure the
lower side of stopper is within the range shown in Fig. 8-10.
14) Set the adjustment address to 19 and enter the adjustment
data recorded in 5).

15) Change the adjustment address to store the adjustment data
in the memory.
