4 - MANAGING THE CONNECTION BETWEEN CONTROLLERS AND
ALPHANUMERIC TERMINALS
This section applies only to alphanumeric terminals. The touch screen terminal does not need to be addressed; it dialogues directly
with the controller at address 1, and does not manage communication with other controllers. The touch screen cannot be used to
network multiple controllers on the pLAN.
To establish communication between controllers and alphanumeric terminals, it is necessary to give each of the elements an address.
This addressing is performed at the factory, but if a faulty component is replaced (controller or terminal), it may have to be performed
on site.

4.1 - One controller and one LCD terminal

The terminal addressing procedure is described in section 4.4.2. The procedure for the controller is in section 4.4.3. The controller
and terminal must have different addresses.
The example above shows one addressing option

4.2 - Several controllers and terminals:

Several terminals or controllers may be interconnected, without any additional components, using the pLAN (local area network). This
enables several terminals to be used to display the parameters from one controller or, conversely, one terminal can be used to display
the parameters from several controllers.
The electrical connection and addresses configuration should be performed by the user.
