PROBLEM
Decreased or low capacity

PROBLEM
Tank won't unload or stops
unloading.
Tank unloads too slow.
TROUBLESHOOTING
MILL
CAUSE
Mill not operating at the
recommended RPM speed.
Mill loses speed as material
enters it.
Hammers worn
Screen worn.
Blower inlet plugged.
Uneven flow of grain into the mill.
Excess RPM.
Mill bearings worn or defective.
Flywheel bearings worn or
improperly adjusted.
Hammers missing or
Blower unbalanced.
Blower inlet plugged.
Collector covered.
Incorrect screen being used.
Mill speed too high or low.
Mixer is sloped towards the
feeding side.
Material too damp.
Material too light or bulky.
UNLOADING
CAUSE
Bridging in tank.
Discharge slide is not open all
the way.

Adjust tractor throttle to proper
RPM speed.
Adjust Mill/Blower sheave
alignment and/or drive belt
tension.
Flip/turn or replace hammers.
Rotate or replace screen.
Unplug.
Transfer grain into the mill as
smoothly as possible.
Operate at 540 RPM.
Replace bearings.
Replace and/or properly adjust
bearings.

Remove, balance &

Uncover collector while

Change screen diameter to
correct size.
