Introduction INTRODUCTION This manual is designed to assist you with the maintenance of the 2020 Renaissance Series Critical Care Bed. Cleaning Hand wash all surfaces of the stretcher with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly. DO NOT STEAM CLEAN, PRESSURE WASH, HOSE OFF OR ULTRASONICALLY CLEAN. Using these methods of cleaning is not recommended and may void this product’s warranty. Clean Velcro AFTER EACH USE.

Service Information MECHANICAL TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM/SYMPTOM SOLUTION(S) Litter will not lower with foot pedals depressed. Adjust valve control linkage rods (page 10). Litter will not lift when foot pedal pumped. Add hydraulic fluid (page 7). Bleed air from hydraulic system (page 7). Change pump pedal cylinder(s).
Service Information HYDRAULIC DESCENT RATE ADJUSTMENT The descent rate of either end of the bed can be adjusted by turning the needle valves on the manifold assem- blies located on the base of the bed (see illustration page 11). To access the manifold assemblies, lift and support the foot end of the hood assembly (see page 15).

Lift and support base hood (see page 15). 2. Using a 7/16” open end wrench, adjust pedal stop bumper so that top of pedal is parallel with floor. The pedal should not be able to raise above this point.

Service Information ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING Before attempting to diagnose an apparent electrical problem, be sure the power cord is plugged into a prop- erly grounded hospital grade wall receptacle and the power switch at the foot end of the bed is on. If both these things are done, proceed with diagnosis.

Service Information Calibration Procedure (Continued): After the reference number is corrected, press and release the WEIGHT SYSTEM ON button. The scale display should read “ADD LBS, HIT ON”.
