Editing Features
Using the HS-U776 to playback to another VCR

Connect one stereo audio cable to AUDIO IN L
and R on the recording VCR, and to AUDIO OUT
L and R on the HS-U776. If the other VCR is
mono, you need a Y-adapter to record both audio
channels.

If the recording VCR is standard VHS, connect a
yellow video cable to VIDEO IN on the recording
VCR and to VIDEO OUT on the HS-U776.
If the recording VCR is S-VHS, connect an S-video
cable to S-Video IN on the recording VCR and to
S-VIDEO OUT on the HS-U776.

Set the audio monitor on the HS-U776 to Stereo.
You should set the sharpness in the audio and
video function to standard to improve the quality
of your copy. See Selecting and adjusting the
audio and video functions on page 27.

Set the input of the recording VCR to External.

Put a blank tape into the recording VCR. If the
recording VCR is an S-VHS VCR, be sure to use an
S-VHS tape.

Put the tape you want to copy into the HS-U776
and find the cue point.

On the recording VCR, press REC, then PAUSE.

On the HS-U776, press PLAY, then PAUSE.

Press the PAUSE buttons on both VCRs at the
same time to begin copying the tape.
10 Press STOP on both VCRs when you are finished.
