PDM Settings [all]

1. Open the SIMATIC Manager on the PDM MS and click "Tools > SIMATIC PDM
> Settings".
This menu cannot be selected for the chosen multi-project node.
2. Click the "Maintenance Station" tab and assign the current project.
3. If HART devices are used, check the "Transfer Maintenance Alarm to
Maintenance Station" check box.
4. Click the "Communication" tab.
If HART secondary tags are transmitted cyclically in at least one remote I/O
station, do not activate SHC mode.

The settings for the PDM MS in the Plant hierarchy under "Extended diagnostic
settings" (e.g. export paths or global functions) are identical to the settings for the
PCS 7 Maintenance Station.

Notice Always check that the same EDD and FDI device files for the devices to be
monitored have been integrated on the PDM MS as those in the automation
project.
