Description
NOTE:
• The ports on the LSWM2XGT2PM and LSWM2XGT8PM interface cards do not support EEE
when they are operating at 1000 Mbps.
• The LSWM2XGT8PM interface card adds 55 mm (2.17 in) to the chassis depth, which includes
the handle of the interface card.
• The LSPM6FWD firewall card adds 75 mm (2.95 in) to the chassis depth, which includes the
handle of the firewall card.
• For the S5800-32C-EI switch, only expansion slot 2 supports the LSWM2XGT8PM,
LSWM2SP8P, LSWM2SP8PM, and LSWM4SP8PM interface cards. If you install the
LSWM2QP2P interface card in expansion slot 2, the QSFP+ port on the card can be split into four
SFP+ ports.
Interface card operating mode
On the S5800-56C-EI and S5800-56C-EI-M switches, you can use the port-configuration-mode
command to configure an interface card operating mode.

If you configure the interface card operating mode as 0:
The switch does not support the LSWM2XGT8PM, LSWM2SP8P, LSWM2SP8PM, or
LSWM4SP8PM interface card.
A QSFP+ port on the LSWM2QP2P interface card cannot be split into four SFP+ ports.

If you configure the interface card operating mode as 1:
Only expansion slot 2 on the switch supports the LSWM2XGT8PM, LSWM2SP8P,
LSWM2SP8PM, and LSWM4SP8PM interface cards.
A QSFP+ port on the LSWM2QP2P interface can be split into four SFP+ ports only if you
install the interface card in expansion slot 2.
Ports GigabitEthernet1/0/37 to GigabitEthernet1/0/48 on the front panel are not available.
The interface card operating mode configuration takes effect only after you reboot the switch. For
