5.5 Ejecting a PD-Tip

Residual media may be present at the head of the PD-Tip. Only
eject a PD-Tip in a manner that does not endanger the user or
other people.
If viscous media is repeatedly dispensed, the leak tightness of the PD-Tip
can no longer be guaranteed.

Make sure to dispense smoothly and
evenly.

NOTICE
a.
Hold the HandyStep® S over a vessel.
b.
Empty the PD-Tip by pushing the
locking/filling lever to its lower stop.
c.
Swing out the locking/filling lever
(this will cause the piston to decou-
ple).
d.
Hold the HandyStep® S over a waste
container. Press the ejector button
down (releases the cylinder).
ð PD-Tip is ejected.
