DRIVELINE CLAMP CONE YOKE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Loosen the yoke clamp cone and remove the cone
from yoke. Slide yoke onto the shaft and align hole
for clamping cone with annular groove of gearbox
shaft. Reinstall cone and tighten (75 ft.-lbs torque).
Push and pull the driveline to ensure it is securely
attached to the shaft. Regularly check the driveline
yoke to ensure a tight connection. To remove the
yoke, remove the connecting cone and pull yoke off
the shaft. If the cone cannot be easily removed by
hand, drive it out from the other side using a
hammer and punch.
NOTE: The clamping cone is serviced only as a
complete assembly. Do not attempt to disassemble
the clamping cone.

Drivelines

-Cross Journals: Every 8 hours.
Lubricate until grease purges from underneath all four needle bearing caps.
-Shield Retaining Bearings: Every 8 hours.
The shield bearings are greased by a fitting molded into the shielding bell. Three pumps are required.
Check that the driveline shielding is not damaged and rotates freely on the driveline.
-Telescoping Tubes: Every 4 hours. The grease fitting will become exposed when the wings are laying flat.
Occasionally (monthly) pull the universal joint halves apart and apply grease to all sides of the shaft. At least
once per year (more often in dusty or dirty conditions) the shielding should be removed and the old grease
wiped from the shaft. Do not use an alcohol or acid based solvent to remove the grease. A fresh coat of grease
should be applied to the entire surface of the inner tube.
If the universal joint sliding members are allowed to dry out to the point where two halves
cannot slip freely, damage to the rotary cutter or tractor may occur.
-Rapid Fit Yoke: Every 2 days.
