DISMANTLING OF CRUSHER JAW
Preparation
1. Secure the crusher unit vertically by
means of e.g. a hoist pulley (see chap.
Common service tasks):
(a) attach a strap to lifting lugs
(b) stabilise unit by slightly resting
jaw(s) on e.g. a wooden piece
Frame—jaw shaft
2. Remove the lock screw (c)
– Allen key: 8mm
24Nm
T1: Reassembling, apply thread-
locking compound to screw
8mm
Tightening torque: 24Nm
3. Remove shaft bolt
– Socket wrench: 50 mm,
T1: Reassembling, apply thread-
locking compound.
Tighten manually "hard", until free
movement of jaw is limited – then
loosen to next lock position (2c).
4. Loosen shaft
• use a mallet and e.g. a rod to knock
shaft through
5. Remove shaft
• neutralise shaft load by means of
hoist and pull out shaft
Reassembling, apply a thin coat of
grease to shaft
Cylinder—jaw shaft
6. Remove shaft bolt
– Allen key: 8mm
T1: Reassembling, apply thread-
locking compound to screw
Tightening torque: 50Nm
7. Remove shaft and jaw
– use same method as in 4—5 above
Reassembling, apply a thin coat of
grease to shaft
REASSEMBLING
Reassemble by reversing the above steps of
disassembling.
Prepare shafts, contact surfaces and lock
screws as follows (described in chapter
"Common service tasks"):
I. Shafts: apply a thin coat of grease
II. Contact surfaces: apply a thin coat of
grease
III. Lock screws: apply thread-locking
compound
