Vehicles With Automatic Gearbox 09A - Audi A3 1997 Service

- -> Screw out bottom starter securing bolt -2-.
- Take out starter.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
- Install battery carrier and battery.
- Connect battery. Action to be taken => Page
Tightening torques
Component
Starter to gearbox
Holder for power steering pressure pipe to starter 22
Wire guide to starter
Terminal B+ to starter
Battery carrier to longitudinal member

3.3 - Vehicles with automatic gearbox 09A

Removing
- Set selector lever to "P".
- Lay bare battery posts => Page
- -> Disconnect battery earth strap with ignition switched off. To do so, unfasten nut -arrow 1-.
