PART 6: TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Indicator light
cannot be on.
Water temperature
is not hot enough.
No water flow out
from the hot water
outlet.
Water leak
Power supply is
disconnected.

Error Code

E1 Temperature sensor failure – turn off the water heater
immediately and contact MODENA Customer Care for the repair.
E3 Dry heating / there is no enough water in the tank – turn off the
water heater immediately and contact MODENA Customer Care
for the repair.
Possible Cause
1. Power Supply is not
connected or badly
connected.
2. Indicator light is damaged.
3. Overheating sensor is
activated.
1. Heating elements are
deactivated or damaged.
2. Temperature controller is
malfunction.
3. No power connected to the
water heater.
Main cold water valve is closed.
1. Leakage from the plumbing
connection.
2. Leakage in the gasket.
There is short circuit in the
heating element.
