hot water tank must be set to app. 65 °C. This will improve its resistance to cor-
rosion and lower the risk of scaling. The P-1 contacts are closed until the set tem-
perature is reached, when the P-2 contacts close. For appliances of type IDExxxS
ErP, proper operation is ensured by temperature control and limiter unit installed
in a common housing and factory preset to a control temperature of 65 ºC. The
control temperature may be changed using the setting screw. This setting screw
becomes accessible after dismounting the electrical safety cover. THE SETTINGS
MUST BE CHANGED BY A PROFESSIONAL Upon failure of the regulator, the limit-
er protects the hot water tank from harmful overheating by turning off the heat-
ing when the water temperature reaches 95 °C. The limiter MUST BE RESET BY A
PROFESSIONAL after resolving the cause of the overheating.

Heater (for IDExxxS ErP types)
In case of failure, the replacement of the radiator requires disconnection from
the electrical network and the discharge of water, as well as the removal of the
bolts in the service cover. THE REPAIR MUST BE PERFORMED BY A PROFESSIONAL.
8.6.
Active anode
The hot water storage tank is additionally protected against corrosion by active
anodes. The service life of the active anodes is subject to the water quality and
the operating conditions. The condition of the anodes must be checked upon
each descaling operation, but at least once every two years. Its replacement re-
quires the disconnection of the power supply; such replacement requires the dis-
connection of the electrical circuit and the removal of the service cover. After re-
moving the service cover, it is recommended to perform reassembling using a
new sealing. The technician determines the time of the next inspection. If the di-
ameter of the anode decreases by 10mm anywhere, it must be replaced. After re-
placement of the anode, its earthing must be implemented according to the origi-
nal state. Adequate metal-through connection between the active anode and the
earthing bolt is essential.
8.7.
Defrosting
Taking the appliance out of service requires the removal of power, and the total
emptying of the container. When putting back into operation, refi ll the appliance
with water, before connecting to the electrical network.
