Additional optics swung in: Even
illumination without optical systems
at the fiber-optics output.
Additional optics swung out: Even
illumination with optical systems at
the fiber-optics output.
The additional optics must always be swung in or
out to the grade limit stop.
The field of view has different diameters depen-
dent upon the magnification and the working
distance of the stereomicroscope. The focusing
lens features a slide mechanism to obtain a perfect
adjustment of the light spot diameter to the field of
view diameter.
To adjust the light spot, the screw must be
untightened first.
The focusing lens can now be moved back
and forth. This, in turn, increases or decreases
the light spot and the user can determine the
size and intensity of the light spot.
