The Q'STRAINT INQLINE SECUREMENT may not be retracting even though it has power because the retractors are locked down and not releasing the J-Hooks. This can happen if the webbing is twisted or if the wheelchair was secured before the front retractors were ready. In such cases, pressing and holding both buttons for about 4 seconds may release the front retractors. If that fails, cut the webbing at an angle using the Q'Straint® Emergency Cutter.

We recommend the use of safety eye glasses, and other injury preventive measures, whenever installing or servicing this system. • Inspect and verify the underside location of the vehicle floor, utilities, frames, cross-members, fuel tanks and other possible obstructions that may effect the proper installation of the INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System. Do NOT install anchorages or any other system components into faulty or non-durable materials such as corroded metal, wood, plastic, or fiberglass panels. The INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System and vehicle anchor points may require additional reinforcement. The installer is responsible for ensuring that anchorages are installed into a structure that conform to applicable regulations, standards, and performance requirements. • Do NOT attempt to repair or modify the INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System or any of its components. Unless otherwise stated, ONLY use Q'STRAINT® components with this system. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS AND WARNINGS • Do NOT operate or use this product until you read and fully understand all the instructions in the installation and use & care manuals. Only permit a QUALIFIED person, an individual properly trained in securing mobility aids and positioning occupant restraints, to install and use this system. Improper use of the INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System may result in personal injury. • ONLY use this product with forward-facing wheelchairs. For maximum safety use a Wheelchair Tie-Down and Occupant Restraint System (WTORS) compliant to ANSI/RESNA WC-4, Section 18, CSA-Z605, or ISO 10542 and wheelchairs compliant to ANSI/RESNA WC-4, Section 19, CSA-Z604, or ISO 7176 Part 19. • When installed and used per these instructions, the INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System will result in increased safety and security for wheelchair bound occupants during normal travel, emergency vehicle maneuvers, and other type of incidents. Replace the INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System and its components after a vehicle incident or a sudden stop that may have comprised the integrity of the system. • Due to variations of wheelchair designs, occupant size and weight, and loading ramp angles, any additional equipment or luggage being carried on the wheelchair or occupant may create a hazardous condition for the wheelchair and its occupant to tip backwards, or sideways. We therefore recommend that all additional equipment and luggage that could increase the likelihood of tipping are removed from the wheelchair or the occupant prior to use. We also recommend the presence of an assistant at all times when the wheelchair is boarding, or alighting, the vehicle. • The INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System will only operate when the vehicle is set to “Park” mode. The System is also equipped with a factory set Auto Stop feature designed to stop the wheelchair approximately 12 – 16 inches (300 – 400 mm) away from the units. As each wheelchair and vehicle installation differs, additional distance may be required to prevent contact with the units or vehicle furniture and reduce the likelihood of injury to the occupant. We recommend that careful observation is given to the placement of the occupant in the vehicle during boarding and alighting. • The INQLINE SECUREMENT™ System and its components MUST be regularly cleaned, maintained, and inspected before each use. Do NOT use if any of the components are damaged, broken, missing, defective or if the webbing is cut, frayed, burnt, melted, or abraded. • When not in use, always keep the wheelchair and occupant (shoulder and lap) belts off the floor by using a proper storage bag or container. Do not allow webbing to get twisted inside the retractors or come in contact with sharp corners and edges. • The Wheelchair Securement Tie-Down hooks MUST be attached to designated wheelchair securement locations or the wheelchair frame as described in the Use and Care manual. Do NOT attach the Tie-Down hooks to the wheelchair’s wheel spokes, the wheels, or any removable or non-durable sections of the wheelchair. Ensure all Wheelchair Securement Tie-Downs are locked and properly tensioned. If necessary rock the wheelchair back and forth or manually tension knobs (if available) to remove webbing slack.
