  • Page 14 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Inspect the underside of vehicle floor, note utilities, frames, cross-members, fuel tanks and other possible obstructions. If any obstructions are present make adjustments or change the location of the Docking System and Stabilizer with wheelchair occupant present. 9. If choosing the Stabilizer, insert it into the V-Guide (J). 10.
  • Page 15 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS If the wheelchair does not disengage from the Docking System immediately after Locking Pawl opens, the Locking Pawl will lock up again after 10 seconds (N). If this happens repeat step 12. The wheelchair occupant MUST leave for the actual installation as per workshop safety standards—but the wheelchair MUST remain in order to test the Docking System after the installation is completed.

  • Page 17 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 25. With the Vehicle OFF, press the Auxiliary Release Switch (optional) and Locking Pawl unlocks (W). Vehicle Off 26. With the Docking System unlocked, turn the Vehicle ON, a steady audio beep is heard (X). When the Docking Bolt is not secured inside the Docking System a steady audio beep is heard—the noise level does not exceed 70 db.

With the Vehicle ON, press the Auxiliary Release Switch (optional) and Locking Pawl remains locked (BB). When the Vehicle is ON the Release Button on the Dash Control and the Auxiliary Release Switch (optional) are Vehicle On disabled for safety reasons.

Permanently connect the Power (red), Ground (black) and White - Ignition Wire Ignition (white) Wires to main power (DD) by connecting the red wire to a constant 12V source through the supplied 20- Red - Power Wire amp fuse (or SAE approved equivalent).

Install flexible Dash Control by peeling off adhesive film cover (recommended) and pressing Dash Control firmly onto clean surface area, dash panel or where previously determined by the wheelchair occupant (HH). The adhesive film on the Dash Control can take anywhere between 24 to 48 hours before it permanently sticks onto surface area, depending on the environment.

Insert the Release Handle with the loop facing up through the opening on the Cover and into the Socket on inner Frame. Then tighten the Set Screw through the opening on the Cover (SS).

  • Page 24 MOUNTING THE STABILIZER (ADVANCED STABILIZER GO TO STEP 64) A Stabilizer MUST be installed with the QLK-150 Wheelchair Docking System if this System is being used for a driver application and recommended for all other applications.

Apply Threadlocker to the 6 Bolts (5/16 - ¾”) and tighten them through the Advanced Stabilizer, QLK-150 Cover, and appropriate flange application (JJJ). 67.     Unlocks Release Control Follow the complete Operating Instructions in the Use and Care Manual to test the QLK-150 Wheelchair Docking System with the wheelchair occupant present. When vehicle is turned off, make sure the Locking Pawl REMAINS open on the Docking System so that all lights on the Dash Control are off.

    POWER FAILURE AND MANUAL RELEASE In case of power failure or an emergency, push the Manual Release Lever. This will unlock the Locking Pawl and release the wheelchair from the Docking System (NNN).
