FLOOR ANCHORAGE LAYOUT REQUIREMENTS Safety eye glasses MUST be worn whenever installing or servicing this system. Before installation, inspect the underside of vehicle floor, note utilities, frames, cross-members, fuel tanks and other possible obstructions—any questions contact the vehicle OEM. Vehicle anchor points may require reinforcement. The installer or manufacturer is responsible for ensuring anchorages are installed into suitable floor structures.

This section describes the placement and installation instructions for fixed, retractable and combination shoulder belts. 2. SHOULDER AND LAP BELT INSTALLATION Q’straint Retractable Occupant Restraints have the following options LOWER RETRACTOR: The body of a lower retractor may be orientated so the retractor faces into the vehicle (inboard) or faces towards the outside of the vehicle (outboard). UPPER ANCHORAGE: The upper anchorage may be orientated to attach to the vehicle sidewall (side) or upwards into the roof/ door aperture (top).

If a separate lap and shoulder belts is required, Q’straint recommends using a lapbelt that connects to the rear tiedown. This will ensure the lapbelt angles are within the recommended zones. 29.

ELECTRICAL RETRACTORS INSTALLATION INSTALLATION CHECKLIST Electrical Retractors are designed and tested to ONLY be used in the front positions together with Q’Straint® 4-Point Securement Systems. Mounted Electrical Retractors MUST be clear of any obstructions and in an area where they can not be damaged due to moving passengers or any transported goods within the vehicle.
