EPLACEMENT
Do not apply excessive pressure to bulbs as they may
break and cause injury! Replace defective bulbs only
with identical bulbs.

EPLACEMENT
Make sure to identify and correct the problem that
resulted in a blown fuse before replacement. If
malfunctioning exists after the fuse has been replaced,
contact an authorized service dealer. The fuse box is
located under the dash on the side of the battery
cover.

To replace a blown fuse:
1. Open the battery metal mesh cover by unscrewing
the screw (#1 In Figure 16-1) and bolts (#2) one on
each side of the cover.
2. Locate the fuse box
3. Remove the blown fuse
4. Replace with equally rated fuse
5. Close the battery cover.

WARNING: AVOID INJURY. Read and
understand Battery Safety Rules in
Safety section before attempting any
battery maintenance.
An automotive type lead acid battery is used in your
tractor. Charged capacity is approximately 40 Ah.
Clean Battery
1. Keep battery and its terminals clean. Inspect every
25 operating hours or monthly for best
performance.
2. Disconnect cables from battery (negative, then
positive).
3. Clean terminals and battery cable ends with wire
brush until bright.
4. Coat terminals with grease or petroleum jelly to
reduce corrosion.
5. Reconnect cables to battery (positive, then
negative).
Electrolyte Level
The following is not applicable to maintenance free
batteries.
Every 25 hours of operation or each week check
electrolyte level of each cell. The electrolyte level
should be at "UPPER LEVEL" mark. Use distilled
water to fill each cell if needed.
Control electrolyte level periodically while machine is in
storage. Remove battery and store in a cool, dry place
prior to extended storage.
Prolonged periods of complete discharge or low
electrolyte levels WILL result in damage to the battery.
