ARMING AND
DLING THE
To warm or idle engine, LOCK the park brake and:
Warming Engine: Set hand throttle lever to the 1/2
fast position for 3 to 4 minutes without load. In cold
weather, increase the warming up time to 10 minutes.
If it is very cold, warm up the engine for approx. 15
minutes. Do not increase the work load rapidly after
starting work.
Idling Engine: Adjust hand throttle lever rearward to
set engine speed at 1000 rpm (slow idle speed) for
approx. 2 to 3 minutes before stopping the engine after
work.
NOTE: Allowing engine to idle for long periods of time
will waste fuel and cause carbon build-up.
Jumper Cables and Starting Aids:
The use of jumper cables and other high current
starting aids is NOT recommended as damage to the
electrical system may result.
Never attempt to start the tractor without the battery
installed (even if it is discharged.)
It is STRONGLY recommended to use a properly
functioning battery for starting.

RIVING THE
RACTOR
When transporting the mower to and from the work
area, make sure the mowing deck is in the highest
position. If not, blade and deck damage may result.
This machine is not intended for use on public roads;
do not operate on public highways. When mowing
near roads, be on the lookout for traffic and also pay
close attention to the direction of discharge.
M
OWING
DANGER! Avoid Injury! The mowing
system can easily sever fingers, hands, and feet.
Never bring hands or feet close to the mowing
system with the engine running.
Check blade hardware and attachment after
striking a foreign object. Mowing with damaged
components can cause serious injury and damage
to the machine. Replace damaged or missing
components before operating again.
Always keep feet on the floorboards and away
from the mowing system.
Never attempt to adjust any part of the machine
with the engine running.
Clear the mowing area from foreign materials,
such as stones and branches, which may be
picked up and thrown by the mowing system.
Scan the area for obstacles which may cause loss
of control or damage to the mowing system

NOTE: Select a travel speed appropriate to the
mowing conditions; use slower speeds for tall or wet
grass and faster speeds as appropriate. The engine
should not change speeds. If the engine begins to
"bog down" and stall while mowing, then speed needs
to be reduced or the cutting height needs to be
increased.
IMPORTANT: Do not operate tractor without a battery
