Keep children out of work area and under watchful
care of a responsible adult. Always be on the lookout
for small children or their toys. Be alert and shut off
unit if children enter area.
Always approach corners, shrubs, and other areas of
compromised visibility carefully when operating around
children
When operating in reverse, be critically aware of blind
spots
NEVER allow children to operate the machine, ride on
attachments, or carry them as passengers, even with
the blades turned off. Do not carry or tow children in a
cart or trailer.

ASSENGERS
NEVER carry passengers. There is no safe place on
the machine for passengers. Only allow the operator
on the machine.
Riders on the machine or attachment may be struck by
foreign objects or thrown off the machine causing
serious injury.
Riders can obstruct the operator's view and limit ability
to respond to an emergency.

TARTING
TOPPING
Apply the parking brake, disengage the PTO, lower
mowing deck or attachment to lowest position, and the
ensure transmission is in neutral before starting the
tractor. Never start equipment while standing beside
tractor. Operator must be in the operators seat for
starting or operation.
Disengage PTO, shut off the engine, lower attachment,
apply the parking brake, remove ignition switch key,
and wait for all moving parts to stop moving before
leaving operators station.
Park machine on a level surface only.
Do not get off the tractor while it is in motion.
Do not bypass the neutral start or safety interlock
switches. Contact dealer if any safety device
malfunctions.
Use jumper cables only in the recommended manner
according to the cable manufacturer's instructions
Avoid accidental contact with the drive pedal while the
engine is running. Unexpected tractor movement can
result from such contact.
Do not operate the tractor engine in an enclosed
building without adequate ventilation. Exhaust fumes
can cause death.

Familiarize yourself with all the controls so that you
can stop quickly.
Read the manual carefully before operating the mower
for the first time. Review manual at least once per
year.
Allow only responsible adults who are familiar with this
manual to operate the mower. Training includes actual
operation.
NEVER place your hands or any part of your body or
clothing inside or near any moving part while unit is
running.
Keep machines, safety devices, and safety signs in
good condition.
Avoid sharp edges and rotating parts. Sharp edges
and moving parts can cut off fingers, hands, toes, and
feet.
DO NOT touch machine parts which might be hot from
operation. Allow parts to cool before attempting to
maintain, adjust or service the unit.

Wear close fitting clothing and adequate safety gear
for the job, including proper footwear, gloves, face/eye
protection, and ear protection.
DO NOT wear loose clothing or jewelry and tie back
hair that may get caught in rotating parts.
Do not wear radio or music headphones. Safe service
and operation requires your full attention.

DO NOT operate unit if safety interlock system is
damaged or disabled
DO NOT operate the mower without the entire
collection/deflection system intact and functioning
properly.
Turn the PTO (mowing blades) off when not mowing.
Check control functions frequently.
Always be aware of maximum sweep of collector when
turning. Always allow adequate clearance between
collector, personnel and other objects when turning.
Use only manufacturer approved attachments. Use
extra care when towing a trailer or using any other
attachments. These attachments may cause the
machine to handle differently than when attachments
are not used. Limit loads to those within the machines
capacity and that which you can safely handle.
DO NOT try to stabilize the machine by putting your
foot on the ground.
DO NOT operate PTO in reverse. ALWAYS disengage
PTO and look down and behind before and while
backing. Be aware of blind spots.
