leaving operator's position.
Contact your dealer for any questions, uncertainties, or
further instructions regarding safety
DO NOT leave the running unattended. Remove key
to prevent unauthorized use.
DO NOT start or operate the machine indoors or
where adequate ventilation is not available. Exhaust
fumes contain carbon monoxide, an odorless and
deadly gas. Always provide good ventilation.
DO NOT operate a machine in poor condition or if
safety shields have been removed or damaged.
ALWAYS keep protective structures, guards and
panels in good repair, in place and securely fastened.

LOPE
PERATION
Slopes and inclines present a major safety hazard.
The equipment will handle differently on slopes. Your
machine is only rated for maximum slopes of 10°
(17%.) Exceeding the operating capacity of the
machine may cause it to tip and cause severe injury or
death. If you cannot operate safely or feel uneasy on
inclined terrain, then do not mow it.
Drive up and down slopes, not across them.
Always be slow, smooth, and deliberate when moving
across an incline - plan ahead to avoid sudden
changes in speed and direction. Choose an
appropriate speed which can be maintained while on
the hill. Turn in the downhill direction.
Be aware of changes in stability caused by
attachments or as the grass container fills. If machine
starts to tip or slip when going up a hill, disengage
PTO and proceed slowly down the hill. DO NOT try to
stabilize the machine by putting your foot on the
ground.
Be aware that wet grass reduces traction and can
cause sliding.

WARNING! AVOID INJURY.
Rotating blades can cut off arms and legs.
Keep hands, feet and clothing away from
mower deck when engine is running.
Be alert at all times, drive forward carefully.
Before backing up, shut off PTO and look down and
behind the machine carefully, especially for children.
Do not mow in reverse.
Never direct mower discharge towards persons or
property.
DO NOT run over any foreign objects which the blades
may strike or pick up and throw.
As grass catcher fills, be alert to changing unit stability
and control.
Disengage PTO when not mowing.
Only mow during daylight or with good artificial light.
Do not rely on the tractors headlights (if so equipped)
for adequate lighting.
Disengage PTO and wait for (attachment) movement
to stop before crossing roads or sidewalks. Do not
operate mowing deck over gravel roads.
Use care when approaching blind corners, shrubs,
trees, or other objects that may obscure vision.

Use extra care when loading or unloading unit onto
trailer or truck. DO NOT transport machine while
engine is running. Follow all applicable laws and
regulations. Always check overhead clearance when
transporting the tractor.
Secure unit chassis and attachments to transport
vehicle with approved restraints. NEVER secure from
rods or linkages that could be damaged.

Regular service and maintenance is required for safe
operation and maintaining performance.
The machine and safety systems must be inspected
for damage and proper operation before it is operated
by you or anyone else. If the user is unfamiliar with
the machine, then the owner is responsible for
ensuring an inspection is performed by a qualified
person familiar with this manual.
Be sure all hardware is correctly tightened and in good
condition.
ALWAYS make all necessary repairs, replacements,
and adjustments before the machine is operated.
ALWAYS check safety devices and the safety interlock
system before each operation to make sure they are
working correctly. Do not operate the machine if the
safety interlock system is not properly installed and
working correctly.
Stop engine before performing any service on the
tractor. Disconnect battery or remove spark plug wire
before making any repairs. If engine must be run,
never run engine unless parking brake is engaged.
Allow the tractor time to cool "OFF" before servicing
any part that may have become hot while the tractor is
running.
Do not remove the radiator cap while the coolant is
hot. When cool, slowly rotate the cap to the first stop
and allow sufficient time for excess pressure to
escape. After all the pressure is released remove the
cap completely. If your tractor is equipped with a
coolant recovery tank, add coolant there rather than to
the radiator.
Do not smoke while working around the battery or
when refueling your tractor. Keep all sparks and
