Identifying the device type during phone boot-up

About this task
Avaya J100 Series IP Phones displays the device type on the primary screen while the phone
boots up. You can configure your phone according to the device type while the phone boots up.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have plugged in the phone hardware. Your phone administrator has added your
phone extension to System Manager
Procedure
Plug the ethernet cable into the phone.
Once the phone powers up, the primary screen displays the Avaya text for Avaya H.323 phones..

Logging in to your phone

Before you begin
Your extension and password are provided by your administrator.
Procedure
1. On the Login screen in the Username field, type your extension.
2. Press Enter.
3. In the Password field, type your password.
4. Press Enter.

Logging out of your phone

About this task
This procedure allows you to log out of your primary or guest user extension.
