Then open the latches on the rear side of the shoulder supports (H) and pull the
cover off the seat.

10.2 Removing the seat cover

First open the press studs on the underside and back side of the seat (I) and the
front of the back rest (C).
Now disengage to left and right latches under the seat surface and pull the
cover up and off.

10.3 Removing the cover of the leg extension

First pull the leg extension (J) forward (see point 4.3).
Now detach the cover from the hook on the underside and carefully pull the
cover up and off.

10.4 Impact shield cover

The impact shield cover may not be removed or washed.

In case of damage to the impact shield (L) or its cover, contact your responsible
dealer or the manufacturer.

10.5 Applying the back rest cover

Fit the cover under the belt guide (B) from the front.
Pull cover over the head support (B) from front to back (Fig. 35, No. 2). Ensure
that the seams which are highlighted in the figure run along the perceptible
edge of the head support (Fig. 35, No. 3).
Now slide the cover under the panel of the height adjustment handle (P) and fit
the cover under the upper edge of the belt clip (Fig. 36).*

Then pull the cover over the shoulder supports (H) and close the hook and loop
fasteners on the back side.
* You can carefully use a flat tool, such as spoon handle, to help with these steps.
Do not use a screwdriver or any other pointed or sharp tool!

10.6 Applying the seat and leg extension cover

To apply the cover, proceed in reverse order for the removal of the cover (10.2
and 10.3).

11 Care instructions

11.1 Cleaning the cover

The covers are an essential component of the safety concept. Therefore, only
the manufacturer's original covers may be used. Replacement covers can be
ordered from specialist dealers.
The cover can be washed in gentle cycle at 30 . Do
not use the spinning cycle and do not tumble dry.
The impact shield cover may not be removed or washed!

11.2 Cleaning the plastic parts

Plastic parts can be cleaned with a mild detergent or with a damp cloth. Never
use aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. solvents).

12 Steps to take after an accident

After an accident with an impact speed greater than 10 km/h, the child restraint
system must be sent back to the manufacturer without fail, to be checked for
possible damages and replaced if necessary.
