3 Setup

3.1 General Safety Information

When you receive the product, check the packaging. If the
packaging shows any signs of damage upon delivery, contact
the shipping company.
WARNING!
Risk of injury or damage to property
The assembly and installation must be done by
authorized or trained personnel.
– Follow instructions carefully. If you have any
question regarding the assembly, contact your
local dealer or Invacare representative.
– If the product shows any sign of damages, do
not use the product. Contact your local dealer
or Invacare representative.
– The electrical equipment of the product must
not be dismantled or combined with other
electrical equipment.
– After each assembly, check that all fittings are
properly tightened and that all parts have the
correct function.

3.2 Scope of delivery

The Soft Tilt is delivered partially assembled in a cardboard
box.
Main Parts
A Head end arm of left wing
B Head end arm of right wing
C Main module (pre-assembled unit)
D Foot end arm of left wing
E Foot end arm of right wing
F 2 sets: Fixation plate, 2x carriage-bolt, 2x washer, 2x
wing-nut
G 4 sets: Allen-bolt, washer, wing-nut
H Control Box
I Hand Control

3.3 Mounting the Soft Tilt

Mounting the main module
1.
a.
On each side of the bed, remove the nut J and
bolt K using two 13 mm keys to remove the slats
assembly L from the bed.
For beds equipped with wooden slats, 2 spare
aluminium slats are required to replace the
wooden slats of the slats assembly L.
b. Additional step only required for dividable beds (SB
755D)
Unscrew and remove the distance stick, located at
the cross bar of the mattress support head section,
and keep it available for remounting, when the Soft
Tilt is removed again from the bed.

Place the four carriage bolts M into the holes of the
brackets on the main module C and remove one of the
brackets N from the slats assembly L.
