2. Cautions for the installation of smoke exhaust pipe :
a. The water heater must be installed with smoke exhaust pipe during the use.
dimension refers to the „Specification‟ section in this manual book. The pipe should be installed
according to the requirements in this manual.
b. Determine the length of corrugated tube as needed, but the total height of the tube should be
more than 2 m, and the horizontal length is no more than 3 m. The vertice quantity should be
no more than 2, and the angle is no less than 90° to reduce the smoke exhaust resistance.
c. Fasten the corrugated tube and the smoke vent of the water heater with clamps to prevent
exhaust gases being vented inside the room.
d. Make the flue pipe tilted 3° outward and downward to facilitate the outflow of condensate
water.
e. Cover the flue pipe with heat-insulating and fire-proof materials which its thickness must be
more than 20 mm on the flue gas pipe passes through the wall.
f. Do not hide the flue gas pipe inside the ceiling. Wrap up the flue gas pipe with the heat-
insulating material with more than 20 mm thickness if it is inevitable. Make a distance more
than 150 mm between the flue gas pipe and flammable materials, such as ceiling and furniture.
g. For maintenance, do not use cement to fill the gap between the flue gas pipe and the access
hole of the flue gas pipe on the wall.
3. Installation of the smoke exhaust pipe
a. Make a hole on the wall near the water heater which diameter is slightly more than the smoke
exhaust pipe outer diameter. Extend the smoke exhaust pipe outside the room and make the
outdoor part slightly tilted downward.
b. Set the air vent at higher position than the water heater.
c. Set the air intake at lower position to prevent the outdoor air from directly entering the
combustion chamber.
d. Install a windproof cover firmly.
4. Installation of Gas Pipe
a. Select qualified rubber hose or rigid pipe and gas pressure relief valve.
b. Select the dimension of the pipe refer to the „Specification' section in this manual book.
c. The length of rubber hose cannot be more than 2 m if using liquefied petroleum gas.
