9.2 Operating modes

The HNC100 has a fixed functionality for punching and forming operating modes
and cannot be freely programmed with the NC program in WIN-PED®. The following
description of operating modes supplements the functional description in the online
help of WIN-PED®.
The operating modes of the HNC100 are subdivided into 2 groups, which have
controller settings adapted to the operating mode group. With the standard axis,
please observe that the low pressure must be within the accuracy window, before an
operating mode can be executed.
Otherwise, the HNC goes to an error state (see Chapter 9.4).

Operating mode in the event of a fault

The axis changes to an error state and moves to the upper mechanical stop. The
error must be acknowledged by IN 1 = 0.
The operating mode is then reset to the boot mode. For more details, see Chapter
2.8.1 "Safety function" on page 15.
The axis changes to an error state and moves to the upper mechanical stop. The
error must be acknowledged with IN 1 = 0. If IN 1 = 1, the axis returns to the
currently set operating mode.
9.2.4

Changing the operating mode

The operating modes can be set via the PLC input/output signals or over field bus
from the higher-level control. More information can be found in Chapter 9.3.2.1
"Description of R parameter", section "New mode - 454" on page 100.
