Attention: For reasons of improving vibration resistance, all mounting screws of
subplate-mounted valves are glued in with Loctite 243. When replacing these
components, take care that no glue residues get into open connections.
Proceed as follow to replace components:
1.
Make sure that the hydraulic system is depressurized.
2.
Check that the component has sufficiently cooled down so that it can be
removed without any risks.
NOTICE! Spilled or discharged hydraulic fluid!
Environmental pollution and contamination of the groundwater!
When removing the component, always place a catch pan under the place of
disassembly.
Observe the information in the safety data sheet for the hydraulic fluid and the
specifications provided by the system manufacturer.
3.
Loosen the lines and collect the escaping hydraulic fluid in the collector
provided for this purpose.
4.
Demount the component.
5.
Plug all openings.
6.
In conjunction with NG10 valves pay attention to the correct mounting
orientation. The port pattern on the control block must be 100 % identical with
that of the valve.
Attention: Installing the size-10 valve wrongly rotated by 180 degrees will result in
oil leakage.
7.
Mount the new components applying the tightening torque specified on the
installation drawing. In the case of valves provided for subplate mounting take
care that the mounting screws are tightened crosswise.
While performing these working steps make sure that no dirt enters the openings.

11.5.1 Pilot valve STW243 (High), STW365 (Advanced); H-4WEH (Standard)

The pilot valve is a component that is sensitive to contamination. When replacing
it take care that no dirt enters the fluid-carrying openings on the valve and on the
control block.
1.
To replace the pilot valve, loosen the 4 screws at the recessed corners of the
nameplate of the pilot valve.
2.
Mount the new valve.
3.
Check and correct the valve zero point, see Chapter 8.1.14 "Adjusting the zero
point of the high-response valve" on page 73.

11.5.2 High-response valve High STW243/STW282

1.
Loosen the 4 M16 screws.
2.
Lever the high-response valve out from the cartridge bore at the 4 grooves of the
corners of the housing.
3.
When installing the new valve, pay attention to the position of the locating pin.
