Checking the Concentration

You need the following aids to check the concentration:
n
Bucket with a capacity of at least 10 l capacity and measuring scale for collecting and
measuring the amount of water.
n
Suitable measuring cylinders to collect the disinfectant.
n
The concentration setting is made according to the following formula:
K = conzentration (%)
VD = volume of disinfectant (ml)
VW = volume water (ml)
Example:
Required concentration = 0.5 %
plus a safety factor of 10 % = 0.55 %
1.
Unscrew the flow monitor (see
pos. 15) and seal the opening with the enclosed sealing plug.
2.
Insert the flow monitor into the provided measuring cylinder and place a bucket
under the swivel spout.
3.
Start the dosing process and remove as large a quantity as possible.
4.
Check the quantity of disinfectant in the measuring cylinder.
5.
Measure the amount of water removed.
This must correspond to the target quantity minus the product quantity.
6.
Calculate the concentration according to the formula (see above).
In case of deviations from the desired concentration (plus safety factor), adjust the
dosing quantity as described
7.
Repeat the concentration test.
8.
Following completion of calibration, remove the sealing plug from the opening and
screw the flow monitor back in. Check the tightness of the unit.
9.
Attach documentation of the set concentration and the assigned product in a
suitable, clearly visible place in the immediate vicinity of the unit.
Quantity of disinfectant in accordance with the formula:
Ä 'Functional diagram DG1-III:' on page 23, Fig. 2,
Ä Chapter 7.4 'Calibration' on page 34 below.
