9 Troubleshooting

9.1 Reset settings

9.1.1 Connect X300

The following procedure may only be performed after consulting with customer
support or Siemens technical support.
If the Gateway needs to be reset to the factory settings, for example if repeated
problems occur during an update, select the factory settings on the Gateway's user
interface.
After resetting to the factory settings, do not connect the Gateway to the power
supply for at least 15 min to ensure that a complete reset takes place.
The Maintenance mode on the Connect X300 device offers multiple device
operations that are required in the following cases:
Moving a device from one site to another
Change of network mode
Registration of the device is not possible
Update process or device activation is failing
 You have obtained suitable engineering specialist training.
 You are logged into a Connect X300 device via web interface.
1. Go to Maintenance tab > Device operation section.
2. Choose an operation and click the respective button:
