The following general safety precautions must be observed during all phases of
operation, service and repair of this instrument. Failure to comply with these
precautions or with specific warnings elsewhere in this manual violates safety
standards of design, manufacture and intended use of the instrument. Agilent
Technologies assumes no liability for the customer's failure to comply with these
requirements.
Read this operation manual completely before using this device and
follow all safety instructions.
This device is for indoor use at an altitude of up to 2000 m.
Avoid working alone.
Use the device only as specified in this manual; otherwise, the
protection provided by the meter may be impaired.
Never measure voltage with this meter.
Do not use this device if it looks damaged.
Inspect the leads for damaged insulation or exposed metal. Replace
damaged leads.
Disconnect the power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors
before testing.
Be cautious when working with voltages above 60 V
and 42.4 V

Always use specified battery.
The meter is designed in compliance with IEC 61010-1.
CE requirement: Under the influence of RF field according to
standard, the supplied test leads will pick up induced noise. To have
better shielding effect, a short-twisted lead should be used.
Ensure proper insertion of battery in the meter, and follow the correct
polarity.
