Dismantling Instructions

This chapter provides detailed instructions for dismantling the InfiniBand switch
systems. Follow the instructions in the order they are presented.
1.1

InfiniBand switch systems - General

The InfiniBand switch system complies with RoHS directive under the exemption
known as RoHS-6.
The last digit of the product part number represents the RoHS type.
For example
MIS5024Q-1BRR — the last R = RoHS-6
InfiniBand switch system systems are comprised of:
 Main Board
 Fan unit
 Harnesses
 Power Supply Unit (PSU)
 Cover

General Preparations

The InfiniBand switch system is assembled using Philips screws.
To disassemble the InfiniBand switch system you will need a small Philips
screwdriver.
The pictures displayed in the following pages provide visual guidance explaining
how to remove the modules from the mechanical base.

Cover

Unscrew the rear-side screws, and slide the cover to the back for opening it.
