5.8 Mount the accessory parts
The terminal block "Alarm" has been preset for connection of the audible alarm unit. If a potential-free contact is to be used,
the terminal block must be enabled accordingly (see "Potential-free contact" section).
Prepare the housing and cable gland. Use the outside right cable gland.
Remote signal generator
Connect the audible alarm unit in accordance with the connection diagram.
Potential-free contact
A potential-free contact can be connected to the control unit as an extension kit, available as an accessory (Art.No.
80074). It can then be used to connect the unit to the building control system or to other accessories, for example, the
warning beacon (Art.No. 97715).
To activate the potential-free contact, press the alarm button (6) and the manual operation button (4) at the same time and
keep them pressed for 10 seconds. If necessary, connect the power supply first.
The control unit bleeps briefly 2 times as confirmation that the potential-free contact has been activated.
Restart the unit see "Switching off the system", page 34 so that the potential-free contact can be identified.
If the button is kept pressed for 10 seconds, the unit reactivates the remote signal generator and the potential-free contact
alternately.
Connect the potential-free contact (see "Connection diagram (Mono)", page 30).
Carry out other connections.
