Faults
Pump does not start
Pumps has no dis-

Pump does not switch

Causes
Mains voltage is not applied
Float switch (
7) does not
switch
Buckled pressure hose
Trapped air in the pump cas-
ing
Float switch (
7) cannot
drop
Reduces pump performance,
through severely contami-
nated water and additions in
the water which produce a
grinding effect
Backflow stop (12) is incor-
rectly fitted or faulty
Backflow stop (12) reduces
pump performance
Motor contactor disconnects
the pumps because of water
pollution that is too severe.
Water temperature too high,
motor contactor breaks
Remedies
Check mains voltage
Bring float switch into higher
position
Repair point at which the line
is bent
Tip the pump underwater until
the air escapes
Set up pumps correctly on the
pit base
Clean pumps and replace
wear parts
Check the backflow stop's
connection. Change it if neces-
sary (see "Maintenance and
Cleaning")
Remove the backflow stop from
the angle adaptor (10) (see
"Start-up")
Pull out power plug and clean
the pump as well as shaft
Note maximum water tem-
perature of 35 °C!
