Removing the Appliance Control Unit (ACU)

WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Remove the black plastic cover using a standard screwdriver
to pry it from ACU (see Figure 1).
3. Remove the T20 screw securing the ACU in place (see
Figure 2).
4. Lift up on ACU to disengage from rear panel (see Figure 3).

5. Remove wire harnesses from routing clips (see Figure 4).
6. Remove ACU top cover by sliding it left (see Figure 5)
7. Remove ACU board cover by disengaging all tabs (see
Figure 6) then set aside.
