3. Mechanical Installation

3.1. General

Store the Optidrive in its box until required. Storage should be clean and dry and within the temperature range –40°C to +60°C

The Optidrive must be installed in a pollution degree 1 or 2 environment
•

3.3. Enclosure mounting

The Optidrive Plus 3GV Compact is supplied in an IP20 enclosure, designed to be mounted by the user on a thermally conductive material
•
to dissipate the heat generated by the drive. Typically, this can be a motor or steel control panel.
The temperature of the heatsink and drive module must be maintained in the range -10 to + 65°C
•
The ambient temperature around the drive must not exceed 60°C
•
Typically power losses are approximately 3% of motor absorbed power
•
If the external environment contains contamination particles (e.g. dust), the unit should be suitably protected to ensure no damage can
•
occur.
High moisture, salt or chemical content environments should use a suitably sealed (non-vented) enclosure.
