Long-term storage

For long-term battery storage, the room may be unheated but to
guard against battery corrosion, make sure the room is a few degrees
warmer than its surroundings as this will keep the room drier.
Switch off the main circuit breaker to avoid complete discharge of
the batteries.
The batteries must be fully charged before storage. Batteries in
storage require charging every 6 months.

Wheels and tyres

Check at regular intervals that the wheelchair's tires have the correct
air pressure. Incorrect pressure may result in less stability and
manoeuvrability. Low air pressure in the tire also results in abnormal
wear and shorter range. Regularly check that the air pressure in the
tire is 200–250 kPa (2–2.5 bar).
