Information on Mercedes me connect acci‐
dent management
The Mercedes me connect accident manage‐
ment is an extension of the Mercedes-Benz
emergency call system (
page 325).
An emergency call is made to the Mercedes-
Benz emergency call center after an accident:
A voice connection is made to a contact per‐
R
son at the Mercedes-Benz emergency call
center.
If necessary, the contact person at the
R
Mercedes-Benz emergency call center for‐
wards the call to Mercedes me connect acci‐
dent management.
If necessary, the vehicle will be towed to an
R
authorized Mercedes-Benz Center.
If the vehicle detects a minor accident, a mes‐
sage appears in the multimedia system.
The message is confirmed in the multimedia sys‐
tem:
A voice connection is made to a contact per‐
R
son at Mercedes me connect accident man‐
agement.
If necessary, the vehicle will be towed to an
R
authorized Mercedes-Benz Center.
Arranging a service appointment via
Mercedes me connect
If you have activated the maintenance manage‐
ment service, relevant vehicle data is automati‐
cally sent to the Customer Center. You will then
receive individual recommendations regarding
the maintenance of your vehicle.
Regardless of whether you have consented to
the maintenance management service, the multi‐
media system reminds you after a certain
amount of time that a service is due. A prompt
appears asking if you would like to make an
appointment.
To arrange a service appointment: select

Call.
After your confirmation, the vehicle data is
sent and a Customer Center employee deals
with your appointment. The information is
then sent to your desired service outlet.
This service outlet will then contact you
within 24 hours.

appears, the message is hidden and reap‐
pears after a certain period of time.
Transferred data during a service call
When you make a service call via Mercedes me
connect, various data will be transmitted.
The following data is transmitted if a service call
is made via Mercedes me connect:
Vehicle identification number

Mercedes me customer identification num‐

ber
Reason for the initiation of the call
R
Language set in the multimedia system
R
Confirmation of the data protection prompt
R
Depending on which service is activated, the fol‐
lowing data is also transmitted:
Current location of the vehicle
R
Service and workshop code
R
Selected data about the status of the vehicle
