Programming the Speed Controller

The speed controller is already programmed upon delivery. You can reprogram the vehicle in just a few steps, how-
ever, e.g. if the drive starts up although the throttle/brake lever of the transmitter is in its neutral position.
To reprogramme the full throttle positions for forwards / reverse driving and neutral position, proceed as
follows:
• Put the vehicle on a suitable support or starter box so that the drive can turn freely and the wheels do not touch the
ground.
• Switch on the transmitter if you have not done so yet. Connect the speed controller to the driving battery and switch
on the speed controller (switch position "ON" = on).
• Put the trim at the transmitter in its central position and release the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter so that it is
in its neutral position. The vehicle's drive may start up already.
• Hold down the setup button on the speed controller for approx. two seconds. The green LED on the speed controller
flashes.
The drive is turned off for safety reasons during programming!
• Move the throttle/brake lever at the remote control to the full throttle forwards position (pull the lever to the handle)
and then to the full throttle reverse position (push the lever away from the handle). If necessary, repeat the proce-
dure. The throttle must be moved to the end point in both directions.
Attention!
If you do not move the transmitter throttle/brake lever during the programming process or do not move it far
enough, the vehicle might respond to even slight movements of the transmitter throttle lever or become
uncontrollable. In that case, repeat programming.
• Let go of the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter so that it assumes neutral position (do not touch/move throttle).
• Quickly press the setup button on the speed controller.
Now both LEDs (red and green) light up to indicate that the speed controller is in neutral position. The settings are
saved and the vehicle responds to remote commands as usual again.
When driving forward, the green LED lights up, when driving backward, the red LED lights up. This is of
significance, if you want to use a different transmitter/receiver. In such a case, you might have to adjust the
reverse function on the transmitter.
If the vehicle still moves in the wrong direction (throttle/brake lever on the transmitter is moved in the right
direction, green LED lights up, but vehicle reverses), swap the two motor connection cables on the speed
controller.
