Checking the brake linings of the rear brake

Warning
Danger of accidents Worn-out brake linings reduce the braking effect.
Ensure that worn-out brake linings are replaced immediately. (Your authorized GASGAS Motorcycles workshop
will be glad to help.)

Remove screws

Take off cover

Add brake fluid up to level

Brake fluid DOT 4 / DOT 5.1 (
Position cover with washer and membrane.
Mount and tighten the screws.

Immediately clean up any brake fluid that has overflowed or
spilled using water.
Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (
Check the brake linings for minimum thickness
Minimum thickness
»
If the minimum thickness is less than specified:
Change the rear brake linings.
Check the brake linings for damage and cracking.
»
If damage or wear is encountered:
Change the rear brake linings.
