Symbols and Definitions
− A dash ( − ) is used to identify items on a list.
− A bullet (•) is used to identify a sentence that contains direct work instructions.
This symbol is used to provide important information that, if ignored, could
lead directly to a patient's or operator's injury. It is also used to provide
important information that, if ignored, could lead directly to equipment
damage and, indirectly, to a patient's injury.
This symbol is used to provide additional information, operating tips, or
maintenance suggestions.
