Maintenance

Observe EN 12056-4 for maintenance.
7.1
Maintenance interval
A maintenance date can be set at the control unit.
If the maintenance date has arrived, this is indicated by a plain text message on the display.
According to standard specifications, maintenance must be carried out at the following intervals:
Quarterly for systems in commercial operations
Every six months for systems in apartment buildings
Annually for systems in single-family homes
Visual inspection
The system must be checked once every month by the operator through observation of two switching cycles for opera-
tional ability and leak-tightness.

Battery
Replacing the battery in the control unit
Proceed as described in the operating instructions for the control unit.
7.3
System
Servicing the pump and pressure pipe
NOTICE
Disconnect system from energy sources!
Ensure that the electrical components are disconnected from the electrical power supply during the work.
Cleaning the pump
Open the cover plate.
Pull the pump (1) slowly upwards and out of the chamber
by the chain (2).
CAUTION
Accumulated wastewater flows out!
Check the pump parts for deformation and deposits, con-
tact KESSEL service department if necessary.
Ensure the moving parts can move easily.
Carry out a visual check of the fitting components.
Make sure that the pump intake is free of suspended mat-
ter and solids, clean if necessary.
