The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is a drive unit consisting of a
self-contained servo-hydraulic drive, a drive controller and accessories. The
self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis described in these operating in‐
structions is a sample or prototype system. For the exact scope of delivery,
please refer to
chapter 4 "Scope of delivery" on page
The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is destined for use in produc‐
tion machines.
The product is intended exclusively for professional use and not for private
usage.
Intended use includes having read and understood this documentation com‐
pletely, especially

The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis may only be used in the ver‐
sion "safety-capable axis" for the safety functions described in
"Functional safety" on page
The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis may only be started up when
the complete machine or installation fully meets all stipulated safety require‐
ments.
Its operation is permitted only when it is in the original condition, not dam‐
aged and completely installed.
The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis may only be operated within its
specified performance/limit data. Overloading will result in a failure to function
properly.
The installation in and removal from the complete machine as well as the re‐
placement of components within the scope determined in the present ope‐
rating instructions may be carried out exclusively by trained specialists of a
specialized company that was authorized by Bosch Rexroth (see
"Qualification of personnel" on page
